Reign Basketball
Since 2015, Reign Basketball has been an integral part of the North State athletic community, serving more than 100 teams and over 1,000 athletes from over 15 local schools. Our program is dedicated to providing a safe, enjoyable, and supportive environment that emphasizes mentorship, self confidence, and skill development. This approach has allowed many of our players to excel both on and off the basketball court, with some going on to represent Northern California at the collegiate level.
In 2023, we look forward to welcoming over 75 athletes into our AAU basketball program at the high school and middle school level, representing over 12 local schools.

Portland State setter Madison Friebel was running the offense for Reign Basketball before switching sports to become one of the nation’s top setters.
Friebel helped Portland State reach the National Invitational Volleyball Championship playoffs.
The former U-Prep setter originally signed with Butler University before transferring to Portland State.
Friebel is the first athlete from Shasta County to sign an NIL deal. This year she was the Big Sky Conference Newcomer of the Year and was named to the Big Sky Conference first team.
Friebel credits Reign Basketball with helping develop her national athletic skill set and competitive drive.
“Reign taught me how to push myself both physically and mentally,” said Friebel. “They showed me how many hours in the gym it takes to develop skill and the sacrifices it will take to make it to the next level.”
Friebel uses the work ethic instilled in her during her time with Reign Basketball to help her compete at the highest levels of volleyball. A testament that shows Reign Basketball athletes learn skills that transfer into any sport a player decides to pursue.
